About Heart Murmur Simulator

Although Heart Murmur Simulator (HMS) may not be as exciting as a new video game, its a really helpful tool for medical professionals. Be it a medical student studying for finals, or a paramedic honing their skills, I wanted to design an app that can help anyone feel at ease when hearing heart sounds.

I struggled a lot with heart murmurs, and even today I am still finding ways to improve my heart listening skills.

Realising that designing an algorithm that could produce a heartbeat with pathology would be a very helpful teaching tool, I got to work.

Building parameters that allow you to tweak the difficulty of the murmurs you hear, this allows people of any skill level to utilise this tool effectively.
